Escape room for couples in Budapest

A date you solve together

A hidden clue that you spot. A connection that they figure out. Then the solution falls into place, and the next door opens in front of you.

In AROOM's escape rooms for two, you drive the story forward. You search, brainstorm and discover together what lies behind the sets. If you are looking for a date in Budapest where you both take an active part, your shared adventure starts here.

What makes escaping as a pair special?

A player opening a hidden compartment01

You live every discovery

In a bigger group, by the time you turn around someone has already found the secret compartment, cracked the puzzle or opened the door. As two, you follow every twist of the story: you can show each other the clues, try out ideas together and share every “that's it!” moment.

More of the game for both of you

Searching, thinking and carrying out the solutions: there is plenty of each for both of you. You can try yourselves at different tasks, and along the way you may find out which of you is really good at what.

A couple in front of a server cabinet03

You think differently? That's a plus here.

One of you notices the details, the other sees the connections sooner. One brainstorms out loud, the other quietly examines a suspicious object. Different approaches are what the shared solution is made of.

Something to talk about afterwards

“How did you spot that sign?” “I was sure it had to be done differently!” After escaping as a pair, you already have a shared story for dinner.

Yes, as two

Can you really finish an escape room with two players?

Yes: the games bookable from two players can be completed by two. What it takes is your attention, your ideas and working together.

As a pair, it helps a lot to share what you have found and to say your ideas out loud. What looks like an odd detail to one of you may be exactly the missing link for the other.

The right difficulty matters too. For your first time, choose an easier adventure; if you are seasoned players already, you can test yourselves in a more complex mission. If you get stuck, you can ask the game master for help.

You don't need to know beforehand how an escape room works. Being curious and paying attention to each other is enough.

Pick our shared adventure

What mood should your date have?

Light and playful

If it is your first escape together, or you mainly want a carefree shared programme, choose an easier game with a friendlier mood.

Swipe sideways

A first date or one of many shared adventures?

On a first date, a shared task gets the conversation going naturally: there is plenty to observe, discuss and try. You also find out how you work together in a new situation.

If you have been together for a long time, here is a new role next to the usual programmes: you have been travel companions, cooking partners or board-game rivals, now be the two main characters of a mission.

Pick a shared adventure for an anniversary, a birthday or a spontaneous weeknight. And of course you can come with a friend, a sibling or a parent too: a game for two needs two curious people.

Escape room for couples: frequently asked questions

Won't two of us be too few?

Games bookable from two players can be played by two. When choosing a room, your experience and the difficulty you want matter at least as much as the team size.

Can we come if we have never been to an escape room?

Yes. For your first time, choose an easier game. Before the game you get all the information you need, and if you get stuck, you can ask for help.

What if one of us is much more experienced?

Give each other the chance to discover. Watching your partner reach a solution can be a new experience for the seasoned player, too. Playing together is best when both of you add your own ideas.

Do we have to choose a scary room?

No. An escape room for two can be light-hearted, adventurous or thought-provoking. Choose a mood you will both enjoy.

How long does it take?

You will find the exact playing time on the room's page. When planning, allow for the briefing before the game, and follow the arrival information in your booking confirmation.

How much does an escape room cost for two?

You see the current price of the chosen game and time slot while booking. Set the team size to two and check what is available.
