For your first time, choose a room whose story interests you and that is easy or medium difficulty. If you're unsure, we'll help you choose HERE: just answer a few questions and we'll show you the game for you!
Yes! For two, the game is an intense shared experience, since every discovery and every solution is up to you. Choose a room that can be played by two, and keep its difficulty in mind: the same room can be more of a challenge for two than for a bigger team.
The right team size depends on the room and on your experience. In a smaller team each person gets more tasks; in a bigger team more ideas can help you find the solution. Always check the player limits of the game you choose; with a larger group it's worth splitting across several rooms.
Yes, but choosing the right room matters. We recommend Dream House from age 6; other games have different age recommendations. Consider the theme, the atmosphere and the difficulty too. Tell us the children's ages before booking, and we'll help you find an adventure that suits your family.
AROOM's games have no live actors and no jump scares. Some rooms' themes, sounds and light effects can create a tenser atmosphere, though. If someone is sensitive to these, or you're coming with children, ask us for advice before choosing.
Not every solution has to come to you right away: searching, brainstorming and spotting connections are part of the game. Instead of previous escape room experience, you need attention and teamwork. At the briefing before the game, agree with the game master on how to ask for help.
The playing time is shown on every room's page, but allow time for the briefing too. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your booked start. If you're planning a restaurant or another programme afterwards, leave a little time to talk the experience over.
Only your own team takes part in the game. At AROOM we don't put mixed groups together: only you play in the booked room, even if there are just two or three of you.
When booking, look at the full team price for the chosen room and team size. You can work out the cost per person from that. Check the final amount and any discounts you can use before completing the booking.
Choose a game on aroom.hu, then a free slot and the team size in its calendar. After booking, check the confirmation, especially the date, the start time and the address. AROOM's two downtown locations run different games, so always go to the address given for the room you booked.
