What is an escape room like if you have never tried one?
Imagine stepping into a story where you are the main characters. You investigate a mysterious disappearance, hunt for pirate treasure or uncover the secrets of a strange house. To move on, you need to find clues, recognise connections and solve the tasks together.
The surroundings are part of the game: pay attention to the objects, the details and each other's ideas. As you progress, new discoveries bring you closer to completing the mission.
You don't need to know beforehand how an escape room works. At the briefing before the game you learn the rules, and in the first minutes you start discovering how the clues fit together.
Which escape room should you start with?
For your first time, choose a game whose theme alone sparks your interest. If you love crime stories, go investigating. If you are looking for a family programme, a more playful story may be the way to go.
Check the difficulty and the mood separately. A detective game recommended for beginners can have a darker theme, while a room with a cheerful set can still hold serious brain-teasers.

Which story would you like to be part of?
Difficulty
For a first time, look among the games rated “not hard”.
Age
Coming with children? Check the recommended age and the rules for adult companions.
Team size
Look for a room that can be played with the size of your team.
How many of you should go to your first escape room?
3–5For a first time we suggest 3–5 players: enough to share many different ideas, while it is still easy to follow who found what.
You can go as two, too, if you love puzzles together and want to take part in every task. In a bigger group, make sure everyone gets a chance to discover and solve.
Always check the allowed team size of the chosen room before booking.
What to expect at your first game?
- 01
Arrival and briefing
You will find the exact address and the arrival information in your booking confirmation. Plan to arrive comfortably and to have time to get in the mood for the game.
The game master introduces the story and explains the rules and how to ask for help. Feel free to ask about anything on your mind.
- 02
The first discoveries
At the start, look around, observe the surroundings and tell each other what you have found. You don't need to understand the role of every object right away: a clue that turns up later can give it meaning.
- 03
Solving together, and help
Some tasks come together right away, others need more ideas. If you get stuck, ask for help as explained at the briefing. Well-timed guidance can give the team new momentum.
